Frederic Chopin (1810-1849) wrote two sets of 12 etudes (or studies) that challenge and develop diverse technical and musical aspects of playing the piano. Here’s the first one, in C major, where we focus on the right hand, recorded at home on October 27, 2022:

A “Lightning Talk” hosted by COVID Information Commons (CIC, covidinfocommons.datascience.columbia.edu), which I presented on-line to a national audience December 9, 2020. My co-workers and I are grateful for generous support from the US National Science Foundation (NSF Awards 2029281 and 2030750) which enabled us to pivot our infection assays and studies of defective viruses to SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19, starting in 2020.
